Ecological Net Gain

In 2012 Dr Knight-Lenihan organised a workshop on biodiversity offsetting, involving scientists, planners and consultants. Since then, he has researched and published on how development might contribute to improving ecological values. This incorporates the tool of offsetting. As part of this research programme Dr Knight-Lenihan is publishing a critiqued the United Kingdom Government’s proposal to require development in England contribute to gains in biodiversity values.
